The project began by working with the client to subdivide the existing section and determine how the new site could best be utilised. Rather than adapting a standard house plan, KV Homes developed a custom home design specifically for the newly created section, allowing the layout and positioning of the home to respond to the available space and the client’s requirements.

A Custom Home with Timeless Street Appeal

The exterior was designed to create a timeless, classic appearance using a combination of brick and weatherboard cladding. A Colorsteel hip-and-gable roof adds further character and helps give the home a traditional architectural form while maintaining the durability and low-maintenance qualities expected from a modern new build.

The result is a home that feels established within its surroundings while providing the comfort, performance and practicality of a newly built home.

More Than Just the House

KV Homes’ involvement at Fitzherbert Avenue extended well beyond construction of the home itself. We managed the subdivision process, developed the custom design and constructed the new home before completing the surrounding property ready for the owners to enjoy.

This included the fencing, driveway, concrete paths and full landscaping of the site, right through to the finishing details such as the numbers on the letterbox. By managing the complete project, the different elements of the property could be considered together rather than treating the house, landscaping and external works as separate projects.
